I have had a fascination with creation all of my life -- biologically and spiritually. The cultural and religious aspects of my investigation into areas sometimes exists without identification or recognizable form with in my work. Creation incites my process, the mysteries of our humanity that is out of our immediate perspective and many times out of our control. Such as the passing of cellular information – the beginning of life and it’s exit. The journey is so effortless and is assumed in the dark turmoil of the unseen – this can be both welcome as well as uninvited, represented by pictograms innocence. It is many times the arrogance of our own journey through life that makes one ignorant to that which happens out of our control.

There is another aspect of my work -- that which encompasses our mind may affect our being. What codes within the culture affect the acknowledgement of life? Finally and lastly the art comes from the feminist point of view and my experience through the creative process. I attempt to address both male and female in my work, however; there is also the effort to address a higher more androgynous force that guides my direction. The challenge in my work is to find neutral ground by which the viewer can connect to his or her own experience -- culturally and spiritually.
